- Sir Charles Fitzroy McLean – 9th Baronet of Morvern, 25th Clan Chief of Clan Maclean from 1847 to 1883, Colonel of the 81st regiment from 1831 to 1839, Military Secretary at Gibraltar.

- Laure Bastin – Belgian refugee, killed in Sussex. was re-interrment in Belgiam
- Harry Boldero – Youngest Royal Navy navigator on class of ship
- Col George Browne – brother of Felicia Hemans, the poet, served with Royal Welsh Fusiliers in the Peninsular War.
- Reginald Buttress – Company Sergeant Major with No. 46 R.M. Commando Royal Marines, died during operations in France, part of Operation Overlord.
- Lt. General Robert Cannon – He fought in Spain, was at the seige of Sevastopol 1855. He died as a retired Lieutenant general.
- Master RN Stephen Court – Harbour Master of Shanghai
- John Croker – Lieutenant Colonel Late Royal Scots and Royal Munster Fusiliers and husband of Bithia Croker
- LTG Charles Brisbane Ewart – Brigadier General, Lieutenant Governor of Jersey, Crimean War veteran
- Isaac Gale – a trumpeter in the 17th Lancers (the ‘death or glory boys),’ and is said to have sounded the charge at Ulundi in the Zulu War
