FOLKESTONE BOROUGH COUNCIL MINUTES, 15th MARCH 19
CHERITON ROAD CEMETERY
The committee were informed that the chapels at the Cheriton Road Cemetery were in need of redecoration and repair due to war damage and the use as a mortuary by the Civil Defence Services during the war and that it is very desirable that the chapels should be put into a proper state of repair in order that services in connection with interments at the Cheriton Road Cemetery may be conducted therein. The estimate cost of the work is £120, which is divided as to war damage, rehabilitation and fair wear and tear.
RESOLVED – That, subject to the approval of the Minister of Health under Defence Regulation 56A, the Borough Engineer be authorised to arrange for such work to be carried out.
