Our volunteers turn up each Saturday morning, or whenever they can get there – and do a variety of tasks. Some like the heavier work of cutting down deadwood and brambles, some prefer to spend their time clearing grass and weeds from just one burial plot.
Some of our volunteers use part of their time to follow research leads, and when they go home they will use their detective skills to find out more about individuals and their lives. I mostly wander around picking up litter which accumulates. However you are feeling, active or lazy – or perhaps you just want to chat with other volunteers and encourage them – there is always something that will fit your energy level. (Covid-19 note: perfect work to be socially distant).
