The ‘Friends’ volunteer group are remembering a few of the ladies in the cemetery on Saturday 4th March, to mark International Women’s Day which is on 8th March.
We will start at the old mortuary building (from the main gate, looking straight ahead towards the railway line edge) at 11.30 and lay flowers on their graves.
It shouldn’t take more than half an hour and we can give you a short bit of information on each lady and why she was chosen if you wish.
Everyone is welcome to join us; you can also bring a flower(s) to lay on any grave you choose, either a family member or a lady you choose. Hope to see you there.
